How to play it and where it comes from

Slap house / Brazilian bass groove (Alok, Dynoro, Imanbek, Vize) between 120 and 126: short, punchy kick on the quarter notes, layered clap and snare on 2 and 4 with a short tail, open hat on the offbeat, swung shaker. The 808 lane shows the "slap" bass (filtered square/saw wave with a very short filter envelope and falling pitch) that plays on the offbeats and closes the bar with two sixteenths (pickup) toward the next kick: that is the "bounce" effect. Deep sidechain from the kick on everything else. Variants: bass that jumps an octave on the pickup, triplet snare roll in the last bar before the drop, a drop without the kick for 1 bar with only pitched vocals.
