How to play it and where it comes from
Fast trap (150–170) with a clean half time: snare and clap on 3, kick and distorted 808 moving almost always in unison, with few long, saturated notes. The hi-hats are straight, "dry" eighths with open hat on the offbeat: the rhythm is simpler than classic trap because the energy comes from the super-saturated synth leads (Trippie Redd style, Playboi Carti's "Whole Lotta Red"). Variants: 808 acting as a "riff" with alternating octaves, rolled claps at the end of 4 bars, crash and distorted impacts on 1 of the chorus.
